Soulful Soirées
Soulful Soirées, Come Away and Come to.
Soulful Sorrées are a spiritual reset. When the soul requires more than a vacation. It asks for silence, beauty, water, and rest. A place to find your way back to yourself and reconnect to your own rhythms, patterns, pain points, and pleasure. This is an invitation to pause and catch up with yourself, for creatives, seekers, healers, and soft-hearted adventurers. A dip into the sacred sanctuary of your own soul, because you already know the way.
These are soul-guided and solo-supported voyages. Guests stay in a private room in my island home, an enchanted experience in a rustic log cabin, and the simple luxuries of lake life.
We break bread together in the morning, starting the day with a nourishing breakfast and Miracles. Then you are on your own till dinner, when we end the day with an intuitive Rune reading and sound-healing session.
Your dance card can remain empty, or you can fill it with a stroll in the labyrinth, hiking, biking, yoga, paddleboarding, playing the piano, guitar, or ukulele, singing, or let me play for you and relax in a daily sound healing.
The Island offers live music, starry nights, bonfires, hang in the hammock, nap on a chaise lounge, a dip in the lake, or take an outdoor bath beneath 400-year-old pines, dabble in some beading or crafts, forage the woods for berries and mushrooms, or check out the award-winning beaches within walking distance of the cabin.
Come to write, to heal, to grieve, to recalibrate. The healing waters of Lake Superior and the restorative medicine of nature can hold space for it all.
Come alone, or bring your friends. The house can host 4-6 guests at a time. Stay for a few days or linger longer. You set the pace.
Madeline Island is the spiritual home of the Ojibwe people. The mystical island, named in honor of Marie Magdalene, is nestled in the Apostle Islands. A mystical place of healing, creative expression, restoration, and remembering.
This is where I wrote The Spiritual Vixen’s Guild to an Unapologetic Life and The Maiden Voyage, as well as many sermons and songs, like My Dear Ireland. This is where my mother-in-law, Jeannine Rhine Schaub, the cabin's original owner, spent decades hosting women for healing gatherings. It’s a powerful vortex for the creative flow.
These Soulful Sorées are intimate and life-changing. If you are looking to relax, write, restore, and remember. If you have questions about pricing and availability, let’s connect.
During your time on the Island, I am available to assist with creative coaching and spiritual direction. This is where we weave ritual, recreation, spiritual insights (based on A Course in Miracles), and the archetypes of The Maiden Voyage.) This is your invitation to step into your spiritual sovereignty, awaken your creative fire, and reconnect with the Divine Feminine.
You’ll leave the retreat with greater confidence, direction, and clarity for your creative goals. Plus, a fresh batch of spiritual tools and personal clarity.
Madeline Island, where do I even begin?! I took pictures of both the island and Maureen’s Lincoln Log dream cottage because I aspire to live in such a place myself. We shared our days writing, walking, and biking in the unadulterated forests, enjoying the gorgeous landscape of the Apostle Islands. I awed at the night sky, filled with stars. Maureen had home-cooked meals and snacks, it couldn’t have been more natural and cozy. We ate together, shared our deepest, innermost thoughts, and came home with new friends and memories. I cannot WAIT to go back!! -Rachel Beitler, Comedian, Writer
Maureen is a charismatic catalyst who knows when to give a hug or a kick in the ass! The magical place with these amazing women has been chicken soup for my soul.
-Heather Yeager, Singer, Songwriter
The Writer's Retreat was a journey I didn't know I needed. Nestled perfectly along Lake Superior with a backdrop of forest trees, I fell in love with the comfy lairs, whimsical art, gardens, and labyrinths. Maureen walks with each person along the hidden paths of their souls. She leads you to a deeper understanding of your stories and empowers the creative writer in every retreatant.

-Joan Burns, Storyteller, Writer
“That trip changed my life! I wish I could tell you it was about the writing… but it was something else quite unexpected. Let’s just say I’m now the paddle board queen of Southeast Iowa.
That said, I’m still writing, too, haha.
-Meredith, Writer, and Paddle Board Queen

“The best part of working with Maureen Muldoon is the lady herself. She’s joyful, attentive, bright, engaging, respectful, insightful, and genuine. Maureen is a delight, and I thank her for challenging me to create some of my best compositions to date.”
-Jane Mathie, Author, Storyteller
Maureen, thank you so much for helping me change my story and my life. I would like to thank you and let you know that I have been offered and accepted the job. This has been a miracle for me, for sure, as I am getting out of a work situation where my skills are underutilized and underappreciated. Write On!-
-Lori Wilson
I bravely took a risk and ’temporarily’ left therapy and joined a 5-week writing group with Maureen Muldoon. It catapulted my “Mother healing”. I never went back to therapy. I know the potent power of the writing groups firsthand.
I enrolled in the retreat. In the relaxed atmosphere of this spiritually inspired group of writers, we were guided by our master storyteller and fun-loving host, who vulnerably laid her creative cards on the table, showing us her own process while coaching us on ours. This was a growing and learning retreat for me that sowed deep seeds of creativity, connectedness and self-care that continue to mature and flourish today. -Merry Kaczmarek, Storyteller Link to story
Maureen is frickin’ brilliant! That’s the only way to say it – and I’ll say more. She’s inspired, deeply intuitive, and helps her clients and students achieve significant breakthroughs quickly. If you’re looking to change your life from the inside out, Maureen is the person who can help you. Joe Wolfe
